    In response to the expectations of candidates taking English language exams, Cambridge English Assessment is introducing a new format for exams taken on computers (CB – Computer-based). Cambridge English Qualifications Digital, set to be implemented in March 2024, will enhance the exam experience for candidates opting to obtain a Cambridge English certificate.

    What will the Cambridge English Qualifications Digital exams look like?

    Similar to the CB (Computer-based) exams, the Digital exams will be taken on-site at the Examination Center on computers provided by the Center. Currently, there is no option to take Cambridge English exams remotely.

    What improvements do the Digital exams offer?

    When registering for the Cambridge English exam you need to:

    • choose the appropriate version of the exam: paper-based or computer-based – keep in mind that depending on the version of the exam you choose, you will wait a correspondingly long time for the results online , and thus for the certificate
    • select a suitable exam date
    • choose a package (BASIC, SAFE or COMFY) and the form of payment for the exam (traditional bank transfer or electronic payment)
    • choose the way of collecting the certificate (personal collection, shipment: Poczta Polska or courier company)
    • accept the Regulations of the Lang LTC Examination Center.
    • if the candidate requests special facilities during the exam (e.g., due to dyslexia or hearing impairment), mark the appropriate option on the form and attach documentation confirming the disability.
    • indicate whether we are to issue an invoice (the invoice data should be provided in the exam registration form).

    All activities of the Lang LTC Examination Center are carried out in compliance with sanitary requirements and strictures related to the current epidemic situation. See the terms and conditions for more details.

    After properly completing the form, the candidate will receive an email confirmation of registration for the chosen Cambridge English exam and the transfer details if the online payment option has not been selected.

    Attention!
    The closing date for registration for the Cambridge English exam is also the deadline for payment for the exam.

    If the minimum number of candidates required by Cambridge to hold a session does not gather for a given exam date, the center will offer enrolled candidates to take the exam on another convenient date.

    Confirmation of Entry document is sent by the Examination Center to all candidates at least 7 days before the scheduled exam session. It contains detailed information about the session: the location of the exam and the exact times of each component, as well as information on where, when and how to check the results online.

    WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?

    Our courses this season are held once-a-week, on Saturdays. The spring/summer course has regular breaks for self-study.

    They are quite intensive but perfect for people who want a more relaxed pace and need to keep their other commitments during the week. You can keep earning money and enjoying Sundays off while doing the course with us. You can aslo enjoy the summer holiday during the week and meet us on ZOOM on Saturdays.During the course, you meet tutors and students in real-time during live video sessions, human-to-human online. You don’t learn passively on an online platform but actively, in conversations with tutors and your colleagues. You need to attend 100% of the scheduled sessions.

    • A typical day includes the following live video online meetings on ZOOM:
    • Teaching Practice aka TP (observed and assessed 45-minute lessons, max. 1 lesson per week, 8 lessons in total, usually every two weeks)
    • TP Eye Opener Session (group discussions after each observed TP)
    • Individual Tutorials (once or twice during the course)
    • Lesson Observations (tutor demos and lessons by experienced CELTA-qualified teachers)
    • Input Sessions (interactive workshops)
    • Consolidation Sessions (Q&A slots when you can ask tutors questions )
    • CELTA Team Time (time to socialise with your team mates and get to know each other better)

    You also need to make time for self-study during the week: it is up to you when. In total, you will need min. 80 hours for self-study per course (ca. 8-12 hours per week). This self-study is not scheduled or directly supervised – you will simply need this time to prepare and you decide when you can do it.

    Before each of your 8 observed lessons, you will also have a 20-45 minute ZOOM consultation with your tutor about the lesson plan – we call it GLP aka Guided Lesson Planning. This will be scheduled at a time convenient to you and the tutor.

    STANDARD fee (EUR 1172 or PLN 5400) is your pick if you decide to join the course quite late and you can only pay on or after February 17th, 2024.

I think that’s what any students would miss or long for to some extent, even if it’s just a one- or two-day workshop.
    I learned a lot in this entire process and journey, not only about teaching English but also about self-development through identifying my own strengths and weaknesses in teaching, thanks to all the tutors.

    If you are still wondering whether to join CELTA in Warsaw, wonder no more. Great people and great experience. Not only did I meet some like-minded people from the field of teaching, but I was also able to learn a great deal of new techniques that I use now on a daily basis. Milada and Beata, as well as the whole team in general, are really fully-fledged specialists here. They take care of your CELTA needs like no one else possibly could and they really know what they are doing. Just trust the process, stay patient, focus during the seminars and have fun with your students during your teaching practice. A real must for ambitious and challenge-seeking teachers!

    The CELTA course offered in Warsaw is truly great. It requires a lot of work to complete. However, all the mentors are very helpful, informative and eager to see you succeed.     WHO ARE THE TUTORS?

    Milada

    Milada Krajewska, Head of Celta, Main Course Tutor, and Online Tutor at PL 090 Lang LTC Examination Centre. Milada is a teacher, ELT trainer, certified online tutor, ELT author and independent materials designer. As an experienced CELTA tutor, she has been working on both face-to-face and online courses, with teacher training centres around the world (mostly, in sunny locations, including Spain, The Canaries, and Italy) as well as on her home turf and her favourite Polish CELTA centre: PL 090 Lang LTC Examination Centre in Warsaw, Poland. She also trains CELTA tutors and helps to set up new CELTA centres. With an MA in English Studies and TEFL, and a postgraduate diploma in Business Training, she’s been teaching and learning from her students of all ages for over 25 years.

    Beata

    Beata Palińska, Main Course Tutor and Online Tutor at PL 090 Lang LTC Examination Centre. Beata is a freelance teacher and CELTA tutor working with PL 090 Lang LTC Examination Centre in Poland and CELTA centres in Spain, Italy and the Canaries, both as a face-to-face and online Tutor. She holds an MA in English Studies and TEFL, a DELTA diploma, and she is a certified teacher trainer and online tutor. With over 18 years of teaching experience with all age groups, she’s been training teachers, leading a teaching team as a Director of Studies, organising ELT conferences, working as a Cambridge oral examiner and designing teaching materials.

    Grzegorz

    Grzegorz Południak, Assistant Course Tutor and Online Tutor. With degrees in ELT and Cultural Studies, Greg has been enjoying his role as a teacher of English since 1999, working with students in Poland and the UK, both online and face to face. A certified teacher trainer with a DELTA diploma, Greg started training teachers over a decade ago. He is also a Cambridge and IELTS speaking examiner and an ELT conference presenter. As a great fan of a ‘more learning, less teaching’ approach, he is always on the lookout for new methods of increasing learners’ engagement and delights in learning from his trainees. His CELTA Tutor adventure began in 2017, and he is a tutor who brings into the CELTA classroom active listening, experience, practical approach and tonnes of humour.

    Karolina

    Karolina Bekker-Łukaszewicz, Assistant Course Tutor and Online Tutor, is a graduate of the Institute of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw, where she studied English and German. She has been teaching English to adults for two decades, online and face-to-face. She is a conference presenter, Celta Tutor and a certified teacher trainer. She believes in a tailor-made approach to teaching and is enthusiastic about adapting authentic materials to maximize her learners’ engagement. Her input and feedback sessions are beautifully designed, interactive, insightful and eye-opening.
