    Poszukiwany lektor języka angielskiego – kurs STANAG 6001

    Poszukujemy doświadczonego lektora języka angielskiego do prowadzenia kursów przygotowujących do egzaminu STANAG 6001 (poziomy 1–4).

    Do obowiązków lektora należeć będzie:

    • Prowadzenie zajęć zgodnie z wytycznymi systemu STANAG 6001.
    • Monitorowanie postępów uczestników.

    Wymagania:

    • Obywatelstwo polskie.
    • Spełnienie wymagań określonych w przepisach dotyczących wstępu na teren obiektu wojskowego.
    • Wykształcenie wyższe – min. dyplom licencjata filologii angielskiej.
    • Kwalifikacje pedagogiczne – wykształcenie, jak wyżej, ze specjalnością nauczycielską lub ukończony kurs pedagogiczny.
    • Doświadczenie zawodowe – minimum roczne doświadczenie w pracy w latach 2019–2025 na stanowisku lektora, nauczyciela lub nauczyciela akademickiego języka angielskiego, obejmujące minimum dwa kursy (1 kurs = 1 umowa), po co najmniej 260 godzin każdy, przeprowadzone w latach 2019–2025 dla jednostek organizacyjnych resortu Obrony Narodowej.
    • Świadectwa pracy lub zaświadczenia potwierdzające posiadanie co najmniej rocznego doświadczenia w pracy w latach 2019–2025 na stanowisku lektora/nauczyciela języka angielskiego (dla lektora wiodącego i pomocniczego), wydane przez podmioty, na rzecz których świadczona była praca.
    • Zaświadczenia o przeprowadzeniu przez lektorów w latach 2019–2024 kursów semestralnych (z podaniem terminów kursów), zgodnie z wymogami Porozumienia STANAG 6001.

    Jak poskromić paradźwięki?

    Paradźwięki, potocznie zwane „jękami namysłu”, dają mówcy złudzenie zachowania ciągłości wypowiedzi, ale używane w nadmiarze zaburzają odbiór przekazu i irytują słuchacza. Od lat licealiści i studenci zliczają paradźwięki prowadzących zajęcia i tworzą nieformalne rankingi. Sami jednak jeszcze bardziej zmagają się z tymi jękami w czasie własnych prezentacji i wystąpień, zwłaszcza w języku obcym.

    Na naszym spotkaniu porozmawiamy o tym, jak usprawnić nasze komunikaty i nie rozpraszać słuchacza niepotrzebnymi przerywnikami, a także jak przekazać te rozwiązania naszym kursantom. Rozpoznamy dlaczego i kiedy stosujemy paradźwięki oraz zaeksperymentujemy z różnymi technikami ich redukcji.

    There are a number of AI tools that are beginning to emerge that can really impact our teaching and learning. Some of these tools are not only useful to the teacher but can also play a role in developing students’ autonomy.     • You have a standard of education equivalent to that required for entry into higher education.

    • You have a standard of English (language proficiency and language awareness) which will enable you to teach at a range of levels. The required minimum is C1+ or higher (CEFR scale). You may have a Cambridge C1 Advanced certificate with Grades B or A or a Cambridge C2 Proficiency Certificate with Grades C, B or A. Or perhaps you hold an IELTS certificate with all the skills assessed at 7.5 or higher. Whether or not you hold a certificate, your language level will be verified during the application process. For this reason, the certificate is NOT required.
    • You are in the time zone which allows you to participate in our real-time sessions: 9:30-17:00 Warsaw time
    • You have a laptop/computer with a reliable, strong connection to the internet – sufficient for group video conferencing.
    • You have a video camera, microphone and a headset compatible with your laptop/computer.
    • You have a quiet place to teach online from.

    WHAT IS THE COURSE SCHEDULE?

    Our courses this autumn are held once-a-week, on Saturdays, with a longer seasonal break.

    They are quite intensive but perfect for people who want a more relaxed pace and need to keep their other commitments during the week. You can keep earning money and enjoying Sundays off while doing the course with us.


    During the course, you meet tutors and students in real-time during live video sessions, human-to-human online. You don’t learn passively on an online platform but actively, in conversations with tutors and your colleagues. You need to attend 100% of the scheduled sessions.


    A typical day includes the following live video online meetings on ZOOM:


    Teaching Practice aka TP (observed and assessed 45-minute lessons, max. 1 lesson per week, 8 lessons in total)


    TP Eye Opener Session (group discussions after each observed TP)


    Individual Tutorials (twice during the course)


    Lesson Observations (tutor demos and lessons by experienced CELTA-qualified teachers)


    Input Sessions (interactive workshops)


    Consolidation Sessions (Q&A slots when you can ask tutors questions )


    CELTA Lounge (time to socialise and have a laugh together)


    You also need to make time for self-study during the week: it is up to you when. In total, you will need min. 80 hours for self-study per course (ca. 8-12 hours per week). This self-study is not scheduled or directly supervised – you will simply need this time to prepare and you decide when you can do it.

    Before each of your 8 observed lessons, you will also have a 30-60 minute ZOOM consultation with your tutor about the lesson plan – we call it GLP aka Guided Lesson Planning. This will be scheduled at a time convenient to you and the tutor.

    To secure a place on the course after a successful interview, you need to pay a non-refundable deposit of 250 EUR/1150 PLN no later than 48 hours after you receive the email of confirmation.

    WHO ARE THE TUTORS?

    Milada

    Milada Krajewska, Head of Celta, Main Course Tutor, and Online Tutor at PL 090 Lang LTC Examination Centre. Milada is a teacher, ELT trainer, certified online tutor, ELT author and independent materials designer. As an experienced CELTA tutor, she has been working on both face-to-face and online courses, with teacher training centres around the world (mostly, in sunny locations, including Spain, The Canaries, and Italy) as well as on her home turf and her favourite Polish CELTA centre: PL 090 Lang LTC Examination Centre in Warsaw, Poland. She also trains CELTA tutors and helps to set up new CELTA centres. With an MA in English Studies and TEFL, and a postgraduate diploma in Business Training, she’s been teaching and learning from her students of all ages for 25 years.

    Beata

    Beata Palińska, Main Course Tutor and Online Tutor at PL 090 Lang LTC Examination Centre. Beata is a freelance teacher and CELTA tutor working with PL 090 Lang LTC Examination Centre in Poland and CELTA centres in Spain, Italy and the Canaries, both as a face-to-face and online Tutor. She holds an MA in English Studies and TEFL, a DELTA diploma, and she is a certified teacher trainer and online tutor. With over 18 years of teaching experience with all age groups, she’s been training teachers, leading a teaching team as a Director of Studies, organising ELT conferences, working as a Cambridge oral examiner and designing teaching materials.

    Grzegorz

    Grzegorz Południak, Assistant Course Tutor and Online Tutor. With degrees in ELT and Cultural Studies, Greg has been enjoying his role as a teacher of English since 1999, working with students in Poland and the UK, both online and face to face. A certified teacher trainer with a DELTA diploma, Greg started training teachers over a decade ago. He is also a Cambridge and IELTS speaking examiner and an ELT conference presenter. As a great fan of a ‘more learning, less teaching’ approach, he is always on the lookout for new methods of increasing learners’ engagement and delights in learning from his trainees. His CELTA Tutor adventure began in 2017, and he is a tutor who brings into the CELTA classroom active listening, experience, practical approach and tonnes of humour.

    Karolina Bekker-Łukaszewicz, Assistant Course Tutor and Online Tutor, is a graduate of the Institute of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw, where she studied English and German. She has been teaching English to adults for two decades, online and face-to-face. She is a conference presenter, Celta Tutor and a certified teacher trainer. She believes in a tailor-made approach to teaching and is enthusiastic about adapting authentic materials to maximize her learners’ engagement. Her input and feedback sessions are beautifully designed, interactive, insightful and eye-opening.
